Adding Amazon Fulfillment Centers to GST

If you want to register in FBA or fulfilled by Amazon, first thing you will need to do is to add fulfillment centers to your GST as additional place of business. Amazon gives you 2 options, hire CA consultants to add the FCs to GST on your behalf. And the other option was to do it myself.

As you can see you will have to make a payment to the third party service provider who was already selected by default, and I am in Kolkata, so don’t get surprised if you see a different name. Once I made the payment the payment transaction number got populated.

After I made the payment on Friday, I was expecting a call back from the CAs but that did not come. I waited till Monday, and then called them. They asked me to sign and stamp on a BSA and 2 NOCs. And I had to share GST portal login credential. My GST Core field amendment or the FCs were added by the afternoon, but I did not get the Reg-16. When I emailed them on Tuesday morning, I got the PDF that I could upload in Amazon portal.

You will get the BSA and NOC PDFs in a zip, the CA will tell you will documents to sign and stamp. One more thing, since you have opened a Current account I would assume you have a stamp that states your business name. You will need that.

After the amendment is filed, we are supposed to get new GST certification with FCs mentioned within 1 month, and that will have to be provided to Amazon.

What If I get “Intimation of Notice for seeking clarification on Application for Amendment of Core fields in Registration Particulars”?

I got it yesterday and I forwarded to the CAs. And today the CA firm has responded to it. That means, any of us can get the notice and having a CA who handles these would be beneficial. While Adding Amazon Fulfillment Centers to GST, I got the notice, I informed the CA team and they handled it from me. I did not have to do any other document. They just asked for OTP. And after the submitted clarifications, I got it approved within another week. And I got the amended GST. Which I had to submit to Amazon.
